Is it just me or the Iberian Union just seems weird to me?

But it is completely unfeasible, and the nazis had no plans to take over Africa, aside from possibly reclaiming their pre-WW1 colonies (and even that might've been just lip service to the nationalists). But that's not the biggest problem. IMO what's worst is that it reduces the whole of sub-Saharan Africa into three German states. While I wouldn't go as far as to call it racist, it's certainly reductive of the distinct cultures, histories and struggles of the region. It's boring. Unoriginal. And it immediately contrasts with the much richer lore of West Africa.

IMO, the Germans should only have control over the Congo (keeping the Congo lake), Tanzania, and Cameroon south of the Cameroon mountains, maybe Madagascar. Angola and Mozambique should remain Iberian/Portuguese and face constant guerrilla war. Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi could be under an unstable German-backed Rhodesia in constant conflicts with South Africa. Kenya could act as a pan-African native buffer state between German and Italian colonies, while Uganda could be under a native but anti-pan-African monarchy. The SAW could even still remain, with Germany, Rhodesia and the Boers facing off against South Africa, with possible Iberian/Portuguese involvement.
