This, exactly. Been watching since it premiered but I've only brought 2-3 people into it. I just don't know if people immediately recognize the tropes and archetypes in the early seasons.

I was actually thinking about this while watching Freakazoid with my kid the other day and I totally forgot how much fun the Toby Danger episode is. Same energy. There's just something about a parody of that Johnny Quest, boy adventurer/50s and 60s era adventure cartoon. The audience for the parody was so niche too. I say Johnny Quest in a crowded room and it's maybe 50/50 if the 30-50 crowd know it, 60 and up probably recall it. A lot of the below 30 crowd ask if I mean Johnny Test, or maybe Johnny Bravo (but very unlikely).

Anyway, I wish more people just stopped and let themselves enjoy the show.
