Welp, it's great to have a decent basic kindle, but it's quite pricey. The previous basic costed way less than the Paperwhite (let's say ~50€ less) while this one... Consider you can buy a brand new 8gb Paperwhite on sale for 95€, I'd say that 99€ for the basic doesn't make much sense. Also, I own a PW4 that I bought 4 years ago for 89€, and it's still a workhorse. Personally I can see the reasons why the PW5 is better than the PW4 but the basic is pretty much the same thing, I would call it an "upgrade". Imho the only good reason to buy a new basic kindle is its portability for people who find uncomfortable to carry around a PW5, for all the others I'd suggest the PW5.
