kpop idol should not be vocal about what sales they want to achieve

I kinda agree tbh. But it definitely depends on who is saying it.

If one of my less popular faves says "we need to hit 10K in order to not disband", that's perfectly understandable. But if my 3 million seller faves were to say "we want 5 million with the next album", it would make me side eye them a little. It's one thing to say "we want a daesang" or "we want a grammy" - that's industry recognition and validation and something they might have dreamed of. But to say a specific number of sales if you are already super super successful and up until this point you've said you care more about longevity and making the music you like, at least to me, would seem a little...Idk tacky? Especially because I know this will be used to harass fans who don't buy or stream because "our faves said they want it".

TL;DR: I'd be fine with it if say Pixy or TAN say it, but if Stray Kids or BTS said it, it's a little iffy to me.
