I hate lavs, Omni, cardio, doesn’t matter, keep them on tv sets where they belong. 9 times out of 10 they don’t give you the proper PA setup you need to make lavs work in a corporate live sound setting. I am usually able to convince my client to go with HHS. I show them how much easier the run of show will be with HHs and I show them an A/B comparison of HH vs Lav and how the HHs sound way better in room and on recording. The client usually goes for it.

The people presenting usually give me a hard time about it, but idc. Just use the dam mic I give you and stop complaining My go to line is when the presenter asks is: “I am not setup for lavs today, if I give you one we are gonna have feedback issues, so please use the handheld”

If they fight me on it, I just say, do you want people to hear your presentation or not?” Usually shuts them up
