Larry King tweets interesting Kraft comment

Here are some things to know about Kraft:

Kraft understands that as an owner, the Patriots are a franchise of the NFL and representatives of the NFL. If he doesn't do his part to cooperate or represent the NFL, he's unwelcome. Here's an article of various sport team owners who were banned, suspended or forced to sell. *Kraft has met BOTH obligations to NFL and his team as fairly and as justly as he could *Kraft has demanded apologies twice as an owner. Once for Belichick to apologize to NFL and owners for spygate (becasue he felt Bill was wrong ignoring the memo) and the second for the NFL to apologize to Belichick, Brady and the team for what they endured during the wake of "deflategate" (because he felt the NFL was wrong). *Before any Wells report even came out, Kraft staked his reputation within the NFL and 31 other owners on Tom Brady's word alone. He knew if the investigation found Brady guilty he would look like a fool. *Kraft could have taken the hit before allowing any investigation happen that cost him and his fellow owners over $5 million. The Patriots could've come up with some excuse and had a waaaay lesser punishment. *Kraft never planned to appeal nor take the NFL to court, which is why he said he would take punishment when the report first came out (despite his disappointment). The PR fight against Goodell and NFL was for Brady (with his own fight because he CAN take NFL to court) and the image of the Patriots. *Kraft never issued an apology for "deflategate" as he did for spygate. In fact if you read his statement again, he is pretty much saying that the real heart and soul of NFL is the owners, not Goodell. That although he may respect Goodell as a person (why else would he back him all those years) and Goodell intentions in the right place, but he may be incompetent in his job. *Reluctantly surrendering for the sake of the full 32, Kraft has just taken the negative attention off the "arrogant" Patriots who can't take their medicine from the monster Kraft help create, now puts the attention and focus onto the "monster" and the failings of the NFL. It also spotlights the NFLPA and Brady. *If it weren't for Robert Kraft, there would be no Brady, Belichick, or 4 rings with the same quarterback/coach combo. In fact *there would be no Patriots since Kraft saved the team from being moved to St. Louis with the previous owner.

Kraft did his job. During the pre-kraft days, the Patriots couldn't hold a candle to what it is now.
