Titans WR AJ Brown (chest) is officially OUT Sunday against the Patriots.

Titans definitely got extremely unlucky with injuries this year, but considering they're about to break the record, I really don't think that you can pin it all on bad luck or coincidence. It's definitely worth looking investigating management's role in it.

For instance:

  • Henry is overwhelmingly the most important player on the Titan's these days, and he plays in the most injury prone position in the game. Each time the RB runs the ball, there's a decent chance of a season-ending injury. He's been out for a month, yet still has a strong lead over other RB's in total rushing attempts (who all have ~4 games over him). That's Vrabel recklessly forcing his guy out and testing odds in unimportant games, not bad luck in itself.
  • Are they drilling Tannehill on safe passing? Are they designing plays that put their star receivers at risk? Are they indoctrinating their players to play maximally physical and maximize yardage, or asking them to play cautiously and take it out of bounds? Not saying any of this is true, but stuff like this is more important than 'good luck' in avoiding IR
  • Lot of projection, could be completely wrong, but based on how irresponsibly they utilized Henry earlier in the season, wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel (a young coach) is pushing his guys into a risky, violently physical style of play that's costing them all these injuries, not just luck
