Leg-lengthening surgery is available in more than a dozen countries, with some patients able to increase their height by up to five inches (13cm).

I feel for your son, I am average height now although I have a slim frame and I was similarly very small as a kid up until I was nearly an adult. It really does a lot of damage to your self esteem and it’s simply not talked about because men, even in socially progressive circles, are expected to “just get over it and be confident bro” (which well-meaning progressive people use in place of “man up.”) Rightfully, nobody says that about young girls who go through horrific bullying, I’m not saying that to start a gender war we just really need to find a way to move past this and acknowledge it’s a problem. Even on Reddit which claims to be progressive the overwhelming response is “man up” lmao.

Back to the point, please tell your son he’s not alone, I know I’m average now whereas he might not be so it might not mean much but I do live in a very tall area, it gets better no matter how much that seems impossible to you, but the emotional scars can last and you will have to do some soul searching.

On a final note yeah wtf is up with the adults making shitty comments? Even as a kid that felt way worse than other kids saying stuff because even as a kid you’re like “well yeah other kids are going to be meaner than adults naturally,” or at least you hope so.
