Like the myth that black Americans are policed at a rate that suggests racial discrimination is disproved by the actual FBI data on crime rates relative to arrest rates, and that a lot of what is presumed to be over policing is in fact proportional policing

But CRT academics believe the FBI is an instrument of oppression and are inclined to dismiss this data as a white supremacist institution covering for white supremacy

Furthermore, claims about the extent of racial biases held by people are often disproven by polling, such as one poll that found that the number of Americans who wouldn’t live nextdoor to someone of another race is a mere 5%, and that by polling, whites aren’t considered the most racist demographic - black Americans are actually considered the most racist demographic in the US even by black Americans themselves.

But, again, CRT theorists reject these polls as the result of white supremacy bias or internalised racism.
