AFK Events in general are becoming more intricate and more frequent so maybe we will see the scheduled events that offer Celepogean as rewards more often however those particular events are pretty steady already and I’m fine with how it is.

Stargazer is definitely irrelevant for anyone besides whales BUT..

There’s a feature at the Rickety Cricket you can unlock that allows you to trade in any extra Elite copies you pull of a hero you already have 5* Ascended. Trading in 2 excess Elite heroes = Any Elite Faction you choose, and trading in 3 excess Elites = An Elite Celestial or Hypogean of your choice. I think there is a Chapter progression requirement to unlock this service but there’s also 1 other requirement, must achieve 5* Ascended with one either Celestial or Hypogean hero first but with heroes like Wu-Kong, Flora etc available in store it’s entirely achievable.

Now I don’t consider myself near F2P anymore, I small-spent 5 or 10$ or so here and there in 2 years of playing to show support, and I may have spent the 25$ for Regal Rewards pass 1 or 3 times cause it was too tempting xD The extra Elite Soulstones were nice but made little difference for progressing, I’d still be stuck on a level for weeks. I know F2P players that are passed me in progress (Ch32-56) and did it in shorter time then I am so it’s possible.

With that in mind, I have about 30 Ascended heroes. 9 of them 5* and most the rest are 3-4* Ascended. Now I was a bit ignorant and didn’t focus enough on Celepogean when I should have so my best ones are only Mythic+. I’ve got 5-6 excess Elite copies now, by the time I get a Celepogean 5* to unlock this Rickety Cricket feature I’ll likely have a good bit more excess copies but most importantly I could have 15-20+ 5* Ascended heroes.

At that point, excluding fodder Elites >.> ... roughly 30% or more Elites summoned in Tavern, for me would basically be like getting 20 Soulstones for a Celepogean I want. Stars stack quickly. I don’t go out of the way, always stop building Faction heroes once Ascended, the stars just racked up by luck of draw in the Tavern over-time.

Long, probably unnecessary story but the moral is; Lilith has made it possible for all players to acquire Celestial and Hypogean slowly but steadily and if one is dedicated, without a dime could achieve them arguably pretty easily.

P.S. Different story for Ukyo and Ainz/Albedo combo, though backhandedly appreciate new Dimensional combo is half achievable F2P and the other on sale 15$ rn since Ukyo was unobtainable F2P and ridiculously expensive. If Lilith would try pulling much more stuff like they did Ukyo (which I absolutely didn’t buy) I’d let 2 years of small-spending go down the drain with ease and uninstall AFK.
