Lincoln Center Dorms?

Hi, 2014 grad of LC here. Although I commuted all four years, I have spent a lot of time in the dorms as well as toured prospective students/families around campus (Lincoln Center Society Ambassador). McKeon Hall is the new residence hall that opened in the fall of 2014. It was built "jack-and-jill" style which means that two rooms would be connected by a bathroom in the middle (separate door). Since it is part of the new law school facilities, everything is very clean and modern feeling. McMahon Hall is the older residence hall. The staff paints each unit every summer and replaces the furniture every couple of years. Thus, each room is clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is amazing. You'll be right next to hell's kitchen & lincoln center. It's very lively and a lot of fun to be in the city. Also, you shouldn't worry about safety since Fordham security is 24/7. If there is ever a time that you need to take a taxi but have no money, Fordham guards will pay for the cab ride as long as you repay them at a later date. The ram van (shuttle from LC/nyc & RH/bronx) also run every half hour. The guest policy is definitely one of the few bothersome things. Although the rules are there for overall safety, it does get annoying sometimes. You need to sign guests in AND out and if you want a friend of the same sex to sleep over, then you need to fill out forms way in advance. In order to have siblings of the opposite sex sleep over, the university and your parents have to be notified.

If there are any other questions, feel free to ask me. Fordham is great and I really enjoyed my experiences there. Or, Fordham's Lincoln Center Society Ambassadors would be more than happy to answer any questions or give you a tour once you're on campus. Good luck!
