Looking for advice on a bcd purchase.

I have yet to see any evidence of people struggling to figure out how to work the inflator on someone, if there are any accounts of it is live to hear them. Following the inflator hose from the first stage is the best way to figure t out f you're confused

Figuring it out in the comfort and safety of the boat is one thing. Trying to do so in an emergency is another. A new diver would likely be overwhelmed. A more experience diver doesn't need the i3 as a crutch- so again- what's the point?

Have you dived with one? If something on your be is snagging on it, it'll be dragging on the floor as well. It's quite difficult to snag it, as its sloped. A reel line would also struggle to tangle, and is about as likely to tangle on it as any other part of your body - the key is deploying the dsmb safely

I have dove with one- and watched several get inflated accidentally. It happens on the boat all the time when divers are pressed together- but it happens in the water as well. I've seen people inflate and deflate accidentally when trying to deploy an SMB, and even just when trying to pull up their SPG to read their gas pressure.

Finally, I would argue that it does solve a problem, giving a simpler means of deflating your bc. Normally you have three ways to deflate, but at any one time only one will work depending on trim. Having a single way to deflate may prevent uncontrolled ascents in newbies who struggle to find the correct means of deflating.

You're trying to solve a very basic diver problem with technology and that rarely ends well. The solution to poor diver training is better training, not more gimmicks.

That one lever is connected to several different dumps, via internal mechanisms, any one of which could snag or become jammed rendering the BCD useless. At least with standard BCDs- if one valve jams open- you can roll into a different position and maintain buoyancy.
