While I agree 100% that many extremists in this sport make equipment to suit their needs, reading that whole article shocked me. From Shirley's last stop til when he get in the chamber was 22 minutes. We have 5 minutes on job sites to get the diver from 40' to stripped and in the chamber.

They might not have been doing it because it was a rec dive, but if Shirley had so much deco time and they had a chamber on site it should have been a surdo2 after they already had one death.

Heck after the first death with all those people on site, it probably would have been appropriate to pull him earlier and immediately go on a deep table since he had zero real communication with the surface.
