I'm not into martial arts too much, but there are a few (which at least tangentially fit the genre) I can talk about:

Ranma 1/2 was my gateway anime. It's basically half MA, half romantic comedy. I obviously really liked it at the time, but I don't think I'd enjoy it nearly as much nowadays. Might be worth checking out for you, in any case.

Bamboo Blade doesn't feature hand-to-hand combat, but kendo battles, which is pretty close as far as I'm concerned. It's about half about the sport and half about cute-girls comedy / slice of life.

Hinomaru Sumo, as the name implies, features sumo wrestling. I realize that this, too, is more about the sports aspect rather than man-to-man combat, but I thought the matches were pretty thrilling.
