Vic Mignogna Controversy and Allegations -News and Discussion MegaThread-

If Rial and Marchi were themselves victims, then it’s hard to begrudge then for not coming forward sooner.

I doubt Rial was a victim. You don't just keep going to work with your assaulter and post heart emojis when you @ them on twitter. I think the general vitriol towards Rial regarding Vic is entirely predicated by the fact that she looks like a turncoat because her social media interactions with Vic were transparently in his corner and largely positive. Its one thing to ignore, or abstain from participating with people. Its another thing entirely to pretend like everything is cool and then jump ship when its not.

And I think other people also had employment considerations at play.

I keep coming back to this. People are trying to conflate this really hard with Hollywood. Vic is just an actor like anybody else. I think that's pretty self evident given that the minute this stuff came forward he became a toxic asset and was dumped immediately. If he were an executive producer, or anything other than talent I would wholeheartedly agree. But he didn't even have a strong enough position anywhere to keep him on. I think its pretty clear that the perception of his klout is a lot larger than reality. He's not like Harvey Weinstein who has executive power over the entire industry.
