Lurker's Wednesday

I've been lurking around the thread for a while now, posted some Qs and the odd comment but not a major contributor by any stretch of the imagination.

Always reasonably active playing GAA and Soccer but injuries hampered me a little towards the end of my teens and my activity level dropped off. Decided with a group of friends to enter a local 10k and thus was bitten by the running bug! Trained reasonably well and finished 1st out of the group (Personal Goal achieved) but In the week before the race I got a pretty bad case of runners knee and relapsed in the weeks after so spent the summer cycling/HIIT!

In the last month or two building my running back up and thanks to some helpful tips from this community im improving every day! Focusing on improving my 5k time but hopefully once I finish my training plan I can move back up to 10k and try PR compared to my earlier time where I wasn't as mentally focused. Who knows what lies beyond maybe even a half ?
