Do you think the lying and manipulation that Jeanna employs throughout the show is ethically wrong and/or indicative of pathological psychological disorders?

Yes, I agree. She mentioned she was put in foster care when she was young and moved to Mexico pretty young too which is a radical decision to make so I’m sure she’s gone through a lot. Robbie described her once as a survivor and I think that term fits her, she will say/do whatever she needs to in order to get to the next day. I’d say it started as a trauma response but now that she seems to have a much more stable life, the coping mechanism just stayed and comes out in these malicious/manipulative actions. Not an excuse at all, we know our trauma does not excuse us from being shitty and/or hurting others, but it did help me as the audience to have a bit more empathy for her. I do hope she watches herself back and tries to heal and do better as a person.
