Why are the supermarkets in Denmark so terrible?

In terms of employees and hygiene I might be lucky with the supermarkets I frequent - or I don't need their help and don't notice their laziness. Usually I go to Rema 1000, Coop 365 and Netto, by the way.

I am totally with you on the selection though! It's something my friends and I talk about once in a while, e.g., when we have been on vacation.
I remember trying a blue Fanta (Elderflower/Lime) and thinking how weird it is that we don't have that in Denmark...I mean, we really like sugar (and Elderflower), so there should be plenty of people wanting to buy it.

Haven't been in a Swedish supermarket for a decade, but remember their variety being somewhat bigger than here as well, and was really envious of it.
