Here's what our teammate have to say about hunting down serpent, you need to go slow in the Ocean Biome.
The spawn trigger is slow, so if you're speeding past it, chances are you might have left the serpent behind.
When you are pulling the serpent using a harpoon, don't go fast when it's trying to break away.
When you are pulling the serpent using a harpoon, go faster when it's trying to ram your boat.
Night serpent will always de-spawn regardless of the star.
You can pull serpent using harpoon through land and it won't attack you. But other creatures will, and some will attack the serpent first!
IT TAKES A LONG TIME. So don't be sad when you failed the first time. Our mate said it took him hours to get a 2 star wolf to get into his trap, tame, and breed.
Last point, it exist, and its RNG. It might be close to 0 but it is not 0.
