I'd like to see more carry capacity in final release

I really like the idea of mechanics that make you want to terraform and build, so a carry capacity that incentivizes you to use the cart, or maybe even build a road, is something I'm attracted to in theory. But I think it falls flat because the game doesn't really push you to work in that manner.

For one, leaving ore around makes me worry it's going to despawn. I'd like to be able to make piles of ore like you can with stone, and it'd be even nicer if you could create a small pile with say 5 ore and then add to that same pile up to the 50 max. Something like that would guide players toward the idea of mining and then putting your ore in a pile first, and you could teleport back to sleep or rest or whatever without worry.

Also, just the cart isn't enough to emphasize the transportation mechanic on land. I'd like to see upgraded carts for late game. Especially if they involved using Lox or other tamed animals, I think a lot of people would lean into the mechanic. Add some smaller mechanics that work with roads/paths like increased movespeed, decreased stamina usage, or maybe something like a broken axle on the cart.

I'm spitballing here, but basically I think it could work, but right now it's more of an annoyance.
