Was the Massacre of Srebrenica both-sided?

I was really surprised that this comment wasn't removed for not living up to usual standards on askhistorians, but than I saw you are a moderator.

That said, as a Serb I am really confused about the reasons for such stubborn denial of our victims during that war and in this case in particular. In the villages surrounding Srebrenica (safe zone guarded bu Dutch soldiers) groups from S. killed about 1300 civilians prior to the "genocide". Truth is that it's still less than the number of Muslims killed in S. but it is not zero (I wont go into arguing the number you cited). Not to mention that only fighting age men were killed in S. and Muslims form S. killed old people, women and children as well.

Nobody reasonable denies that a war crime happened there, but saying that it was one sided and not provoked by supposed Muslim refugees in the safe zone is dishonest and indicative of deeper motives.

You should be ashamed of letting your own prejudices and hate lower the standards of this subreddit. That is if we ignore you denying deaths of thousands of innocent people as non shameful.
