[META] I hate how expensive it is to open a crate.

"Otherwise, the market would QUICKLY balance itself out so that it won't be profitable. Opening crates is supposed to be fun, and if you're feeling lucky that you could get something cool."

This is my point, exactly. Crates are not profitable, and should not be(I agree with you). But, it has gone much farther than just not being profitable. The market has QUICKLY been changed, by all of the people opening crates, despite it being unprofitable. Instead of BALANCING the market(in the hypothetical scenario you created, where crates were profitable), it is causing the ALREADY unprofitable crates to become less, and less profitable each day.

I'm not blasting Psyonix, or saying I expected a profit(like you seem to be attempting to project onto me). I'm just saying, as a PSA, that opening crates is a huge ripoff. I'm okay with paying a bit for the excitement of opening the crate. But there are too many other people doing that already, that have flooded the market, and made opening crates too costly to justify in my opinion.
