Mixing and Mastering

My tip for EQing is to cut out harsh frequencies.

This is how most of my hats and high pitched melodies EQ look like.

For ''mastering'' I usually have a chain that looks like this:

The eq is just fixing the low/ mid bass (also try not to make anything louder using FL'S EQ2, just make the other stuff quieter)

OTT cause my lazy ass don't know how to use a multiband compressor and make it sound good.

Waveshaper just to keep everything under red line.

Ozone low end focus (this is cheating idk what it does but it makes my sub bass sound way better)

To really get good at it, I would recommend trying stuff and really not listening to me as my only goal is to make everything as loud as possible without damaging the track's dynamics. Also this is dubstep mixing and mastering so this might not apply to everything. I'm sure pros would laugh at me but it sounds good to my ears and it sounds good on soundcloud.
