Dear Superfly, I enjoy working with technology and I have a good deal of experience in developing and maintaining code. I am currently a Technology Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where I have been developing and supporting several applications for 3 years now. I am happy with the job and the work it provides, but I would really like to apply my skills towards an endeavor I am more passionate about rather than the finance industry. I had something of an epiphany recently (during a Paul McCartney concert I attended) that has made me re-evaluate some of life plans/goals. There is a great amount of joy and meaning that this concert, and many others, has given me and I know that many other people feel the same way. I appreciate that Superfly makes it possible for music artists to reach a wider audience live than ever before and also makes it possible for that audience to discover and enjoy more music live than ever before. I feel that, if I could apply my skills to this industry and help connect artists with music lovers (and vice-versa), it would be the exact fulfillment I am looking for. As I started this letter saying, I enjoy working with technology and don’t want that to stop… but if I could work with technology and use it to bring the joy I felt during the McCartney concert to as many people as possible, that would give me a motivation in my day-to-day work that I feel I am currently missing at my current job.
