My teenager's dad is real mad his son posseses clothes like this. It's somehow my fault and he's sure I got him these clothes.

It’s very easy to say those things but very hard to implement or use in the real world. Schools do absolutely nothing to prevent bullying. I say that as someone who was bullied and as the significant other of a teacher and has listened to the insanity that kids are experiencing these days. Covid caused mass desocialization and the years of people working hard to make bullying unacceptable was unraveled almost immediately. Kids are significantly more mean than they’ve ever been. They’re more violent and irrational as well as have poor coping skills. 3 years of their lives and development were stolen (Covid protocols were necessary. I’m not arguing against that btw) and now we’re seeing the effects of it. Sometimes the best way to fight a bully is not to be a target. Sometimes it’s better to just blend in rather than stick out. I’d rather my child have a stable existence where they’re deprived of certain articles of more outgoing clothing than for me to allow them situations which might hurt their confidence and mental stability. I’d rather my kid be alive and comfortable and happy than bullied for how they dress.
