I agree with your second sentence but your first one is just tone deaf. Are you seriously trying to say that having an autistic child comes with the exact same struggles as having a neurotypical child? I know a lot of moms of kids with autism and even if you don’t factor in the emotional challenges of essentially “learning a new language” for your child, the thousands of dollars in therapy, equipment, schools, and childcare can be crippling. There are obviously many different levels of assistance that different children need.

I think we could all be a little more understanding to each other. Being accusatory and pretending that these issues don’t exist are not helpful for the community at all.
