My thoughts after 3 months

here’s my take: How many more years can they poach “old dude tryin to be hip” bits out of rhyner. It’s been a solid 15 years out of that from him. To me, it’s showing he’s just a big of a plebe as the ones he despises. Shit on podcasts early, only to purvey his own. Walked away / got pushed out of a station he created, there’s something there that re defines loyalty in that field. There’s more to it. But on the other side, the ticket was sure butt hurt / shocked, which in turn made them get more solidified and gathered.

The Freak is based on their hosts being the status quo of cool and that’s off base. Sirois has found himself 2nd fiddle (again) to a barely relevant old dude who’s bits consist of battling, and stumbling through the modern era of talk radio. It sucks to see people you look up to become old and irrelevant but rhyner is just the norm of the freak. The ego has taken over these hosts. And if it’s not ego, it’s a fuel built on sticking it to the ticket. All in all, there is very little focus on actual Palpable content that makes people yearn for me. It’s all just watered down mid grade stuff.

Turner is funny. Shouldn’t be on radio where there is a ceiling on funny.

At least you can make money off of what Bob says because he’s so tapped in to sports he’s tapped in to.

To top it off, this is all houses under one of the biggest assimilating corporate mongrel houses in IHeart. Kinda compromises the rebel without a cause image rhyner holds on to so well. He’s a corporate radio cuck, and everyone else is out for a payday. Hopefully this brings major value to Mike Sirois and he goes back to a hosting gig at the ticket and all is back right in the world.

Radio ppl haven’t been cool since the ticket was 20 years ago, everyone needs to stop trying to be that. Just be radio dudes with good content. Seems to be missed by all. Ticket does it bad too. Don’t need to hear about a hosts sons skull surgery or where their kids are going to college n shit. The ego man. Ego.
