KM4 often gave kudos for a lot of people, leaders and regular volunteers. It became common knowledge that, whenever he did so, he was addressing some slander or attempted scandal against a person and was trying to put a final end to it. Where we were not even aware there was slander or scandal, we would actually learn of it because KM4 was going out of his way to give kudos to someone. We considered this "nipping in the bud" by KM4 to be very wise. This wisdom does not appear to have been inherited by KM5.

For believing Ahmadis, I recall the story of how many Muslims were upset and bitter towards Ali, and in order to quell the bitterness, the Prophet stood up in front of a congregation and publicly exonerated Ali. The Prophet did not allow the matter to fester endlessly.

Even before Mahdi sb left Canada, he was constantly the subject of rumors. It had become quite normal for KM4 to stand up and say nice things about Mahdi sb in order to quell the 'tongue-waggers'.
