Need advice for depression

I understand how you feel.

There is a chance that your commander might suspecting you of faking your depression. So, if in fact you are currently suffering from it, it is best to get an official diagnosis. Go to IMH A&E and see the doctor there, tell them the problem you are currently facing and they will do the diagnosis from there. When you get the official diagnosis from the doctor at IMH, show that to your MO or you commander, they have to accept it as this is an official document.

When in the event that you did get a diagnosis, Patient Confidentiality will ensure that your condition will not be shared without your consent, even to your parents. So please do not worry about your parents finding out about this. However, I do believe that informing your parents about your current condition is a good idea, because recovery is gonna be a long journey, and it will be better if your family is with you on this journey to recovery.

For job wise, I do not think it will affect that much. Especially when you fully recover from it. However it is advisable to declare your condition to the workplace saying that you used to have Depression and you have since recover from it.

That is all the advice I can give you, best of luck OP!
