Needing Advice

Ummmm I don’t think they can just get out of paying you OT because they told you it needs to be preapproved. They could discipline you for working OT without approval, but still need to pay you for it....

I also disagree you couldn’t get work elsewhere because you “only” have 1.5 years in 1 field - just apply! I had maybe 3 months in PI and Criminal, and got this sweet job in employment law - I love it. Learned mostly on the job.

I can understand why you feel so down and negative about your prospects Bc you’re working at the wrong firm that devalues you! Just apply, try, I think you’ll be surprised at how much you’re wrong about your “marketability” to other firms.

And bonus, when you finally score that sweet job, because you definitely will, you can then peacefully go after this awful firm for not paying you overtime.... just call any employment attorney for a consult!
