Checking the mail and voicemail. Answering emails. Confirming appointments. Preparing for said appointments. Make my to-do list for the day. I like to spend like a half our organizing my desk and the paralegal’s area in my office (where supplies are kept, restocking whatever and making sure everyone has what they need). Prepare court filings, draft pleadings, answer the phone. My attnys are super generous and usually get us lunch. After lunch the senior partner comes in (he wfh or goes to court in the morning) so I take an hour to help him get settled and prepped for his appointments. It can get more hectic towards the end of the day. At the end of the day I put files away and file any loose paperwork. Love to start the next day with a clean desk.
