I usually don't comment here but I have a pretty weird perspective so I thought I would share. My best friends growing up were Turks and I spent a lot of time with the community, going to the festivals, the conferences, all that because free food. On the one hand it is super fucking annoying that people always bring it up in a conversation. Most of those idiots don't acknowledge the crimes of their own ancestors, and to use that as an argument kind of is insinuating that it is something that was out of the ordinary for the time but it wasn't. That period was a crazy moment in history where people were getting massacred and forced out of their homelands in mass amounts.

That being said, I've also met many a retarded agabey who flat out rejects any mass killings happened. I have been been bused from one city to another and put up in a hotel to attend a conference where the main topic was how Turks didn't kill Armenians. It feels like the only reason that people won't call those killings by the proper name is because of the political ramifications and not because it doesn't fit the definition.
