Compared to most other fighting games with the simple commands implemented in this game regardless of rank the combos aren’t that hard to get down. Honestly how crazy the normals are it’s weird that I get SFV vibes from the gameplay.

Many others have said but just mashing buttons in this game is actually viable, really if you want to climb rank just block and be patient. Every character has clear gaps or end to their combos as long as you just somewhat pay attention to your opponent. Make sure you’re using guard cancel to get out of pressure a lot of people I play sit on 200 MP just blocking for dear life. Don’t press a button on wake up a decent player will meaty you every time and if they keep jumping you have a one button DP that they have no way of blocking in the air.

Just learn simple combos for your character and dodge roll is also great as well for people who like to play on reactions. You don’t have to win just play for fun you don’t really get anything for winning anyways.
