A massive amount of raucous cheering and applause filled the fair grounds every time a beautiful woman walked onstage for the pageant, giving the crowd a good look at their well dressed forms. The announcer would say a few things from a sheet of paper, giving the contestant something to converse about for a minute before walking offstage. Leaving the crowd in a varying state of happiness or confusion based on what they had said and done.
Backstage was a very different matter for the contestants, each dealing with their pre-walk jitters in various ways. Many of them jubilant or excited at the chance to show off their bodies and prove they were the best, quickly making it a contest for bragging rights on how gorgeous they were. Making the most self-centered of them to mock the other pitiful attempts to look decent.
"Awhh, this little thing thinks that she can compete ladies."
"Ha!"
"She is literally shaking in her boots. Are you really wearing those with a dress?"
"Pathetic. Why not just run away like the trembling bitch you are."
"You can't handle a pageant of this magnitude, especially with that mismatched outfit."
"Flee you Freak."
The gaggle of women laughed in Amethyst's face as they trapped her within a half-circle and forced the petite girl's back against the concrete wall. Heckling and teasing the violet haired girls attempt to join in the festivities, driving her anxiety, despair, and terror over the edge. Breaking what remained of small woman's composure before the group decided to leave, knowing that their attempts to psyche her out had succeeded.

Amethyst slid down the wall slowly before dropping to the floor, curling up into a small violet ball. Arms wrapped tightly around her drawn up knees, closing herself off from the other contestants. Crying silently within her petite form, releasing all of the emotional distress this fair had caused. Quivering from the combined anxiety, terror, despair, and pain from her kinked tail that had overtaken her fragile mind. Left to wear a pink dress that exposed too much and a twin-tail hairstyle that forced her tail to be hidden uncomfortably within her clothes.
