On a larger note, I know it’s extremely frustrating. I used to have deer eat anything I planted, couldn’t keep pumpkins outside overnight during Halloween cause those fuckers would have a feast.
In my hometown, it’s not a law persay but we are highly encouraged to keep very high fences around what we want to keep, and plant a few seeds a few yards out (or feet) so that they can munch on that instead of what you want to keep.
I don’t know how that would help with these diggers, my cousin had groundhogs on his land and I think these are similar but I’m too far in my comment to make a google search.
He used these high frequency solar things that made a high pitched noise, im assuming it had the same frequency as a hawks caw-caw (the noise they make, again I don’t want to google actual word for the noise) or something. It keeps away little rodents as they think there’s hawks nearby, they won’t try and make a home.
He’s also done epsom salt. It didn’t have the best results because he said it messed with his crops a bit
