Obsessive Personality Inspires Newbie to Delurk, Post 46 Reviews

I plan on doing almost exactly what they're doing with buying lots of samples/decants and maybe buying full bottles of ones I really like.

I have no interest whatsoever in the hassle of re-selling or trading. If I have a bottle and it's not going to get used, I'm just going to give it away.

I also want to try some of the more experimental houses' scents, which are generally expensive AND harder to wear, making purchasing a full bottle a gamble even if I like the scent.

Regardless, what I hope to have to show for it is a much better understanding of what different scents/profiles I enjoy, a few staples and favorites, and much more money in the bank than if I'd bought full bottles of the same scents. Also it's just fun to try stuff, and I live in the middle of nowhere so that can be difficult. I have to drive an hour just to get to a raggedy Macy's where they're more likely to accuse me of theft than help me sample fragrances.

I personally don't see how there'd be any less enjoyment without a bunch of full size bottles on my shelf(even if a lot of them are rather pretty).
