Official December 2015 Discussion Thread

When I took the ACT last month, I guessed abcd for more than half of the math because I accidentally brought my broken calculator. Got a 23 for math. Ended up with a 33 for writing. A 32 for English. 28 for reading. And a 24 for science. Composite was a 27. Should have been at least 30 if I had my damn calculator working.

English: Straightforward, few tricky comma problems but I think I got it, I don't remember guessing on any. Had time at the end to go back and review and answer some questions that I skipped. Finished on the dot.

Reading: Took some time to read, the questions were more about inferring things than finding the answer in the passage. Finished with time to double check answers.

Math: Really easy except a few tripped me up because I simply didn't have enough time to work them out. I was doubtful of my answers or guessed on a total of 6 out of the 60 questions. Super confident for the rest. Didn't need to refer to the nspire once.

Science: Struggled with time management. I just found the first experiment really hard to comprehend. Honestly guessed on like 7 problems.

Writing: So happy I got to discuss technology. Wrote 3 full pages. I felt much stronger on this than my previous essay where I got 11/12. I wrote more poetically and had stronger examples. Writing my conclusion made me smile, I'm very happy with it.

I was on standby and we were put in a room with a total of 6 students testing. I took it at a university and the desks were so small, they allowed us to pull other desks for a larger workspace.

Also on the upside, my proctor was easy going so there was no strict or stressful environment. She was also pretty attractive.
