Official Series 10 Theory Thread

I hope they end up tying however Bill ends up leaving into the themes of the season in a way other than killing her, if only because I feel like that could place undue burden on Chibnall/the next Doctor. I don't want the next Doctor to be in mourning, and I also don't wanna question why they wouldn't be mourning.

Also I kinda feel like when they stack tragic companion exits (especially since Clara and River just "died"), it kinda stretches the credibility of the Doctor deciding right away that it's okay to put a new human in mortal danger.

The only companions in the new series that weren't introduced in the midst of the Doctor mourning the previous companion (barring Rose) were Donna (the second time) because Martha left willingly and on good terms, and Amy, because there was a wide berth between Donna's exit and her entrance.

I wouldn't complain if Bill died and it was handled well, I just feel like for Chibnall to get a truly blank slate, Bill's departure should be something that burdens the Doctor's conscience as little as possible.
