Out with the old, in with the new. Eight pairs, changed (roughly) daily and hand washed, hung dry. Lasted about 4 years. Tried to repair the elastic on one and failed mightily. Very worth it.

I live in the south and was also line drying these and washing with natural seventh gen free and clear detergent. Shower daily and use my towel/washcloth only once and still was getting recurring jock itch with these. Started drying them thoroughly in dryer hoping that would help but still seems to happen... Must just be me and the climate and my activity level going to gym daily. Might have to switch to cotton and change multiple times a day. Unfortunate because they are great and last years besides that but now I wonder if they are just breeding grounds for bacteria/fungi or i am not compatible with synthetic fibers with my climate and activity level.
