I'm tired of constant, unsolicited remarks about my weight

Something that helped me cope was realizing there is a popular body in the media and social sphere, and it will not always be mine. The popular body will always change. It was once popular to be chubby, then popular to be thin; popular to be pale, then popular to be tan; popular to be waify, then popular to be fit. A big butt used to be fat, and now it's thicc. You can't change your body type to fit the new fad, but you can keep taking care of yourself by being active and eating mindfully.

For the record, it's ok for you to have a negative reaction to the remarks. It's whack that you have to prepare yourself for comments that shouldn't be said in the first place. I hope you'll become apathetic to the comments eventually, but sometimes they hurt more than you want.

And sidenote: It might be an asian thing to openly talk about another person's body, but that doesn't mean it's not harmful. I've known many asian women to develop disordered eating because of it, and it's fucked up.
