Paul Paul is fairly convincing in the few videos that he still has up, and he did say that the treasure had been found just a week before Forrest announced it (that video is still up).

But, he also says he sent his solve to Forrest last year, yet Forrest says he has, "not communicated with since 2018". So, either Paul Paul is lying, or Forrest just means that although Paul Paul communicated with him, he didn't communicate back with Paul Paul.

Also, there's another rumor that Paul Paul (or someone else overseas) teamed up with someone "back east" who went boots on the ground with the solve. So, when Forrest says he hasn't communicated with the person since 2018 he could be talking about that person who actually retrieved the treasure.
