“I wAs onLY jOkiNg”

I agree. People don't tip as much as companies expect and lay their wage way too low. Still I believe that if you've agreed to a wage, you shouldn't expect the tips to fill the void. I grew up in a low income household and lived off welfare when I left the house for college. When I looked for jobs, I avoided delivery jobs and such because "4,50+tips" is as big a scam as "hot MILFs in your area are looking for you!" There's a reason these jobs are generally occupied by the 16-20 demographic. They're for young adults who still live at home. I see a lot of responses of "but what if you can't find anything else" and that's not really what it's about. Waitressing, deluvery, all that, I don't think those are jobs meant to keep your livelihood afloat.
