Pensando en Regresar a Mexico

I Understand you completely. I was in a very similar situation. Just like you, i grew up in the US for 75% of my life. I moved down here as soon as I graduated High school. My reasons are simple. My Dream is to one Day become a Doctor, the problem is that Med school in the US is too expensive. I got here about seven months ago and I am in Med School. When I moved here to Guadalajara. I was Alone. My Immediate Family (Brother, Sister, Mother, Father) resides in the US. As well as most of my family. And the family members that I do have here in Mexico live in other states. I was alone for a while until one of my sisters decided to come down and join me. Living alone isn't that bad. Specially because I am following my dreams, so I can bear with it. The Cost of my University is about $5,500 dollars per semester. I have seen apartment rents down to the price of $112 dollars (one hundred and twelve dollars) per month and the average rent cost is about $750 dollars. The cost for my university is actually deemed incredibly expensive down here. The University of Nuevo Leóns cost per semester is a mere $100 dollars. And that is the second best university in all of Mexico at the moment. The Unam, it's cost per semester is a mere €1 (yes, im not joking, Its One cent. And that is in pesos not in dollars) this university being almost always in the first or second place as the best university. Yes it is difficult to get in, but it's nothing impossible. You want to live in Guadalajara, then go to the UDG it's price range is also small and it is also one of the best. I Myself go to to the UAG. So listen to me. If you are willing to work for your future than don't be afraid. If you want it, you can achieve it. P.S: I don't know about this career choice you are pursuing, I wouldn't really lean towards that. A large capital is needed in order to start a business in that field and it is very family oriented ( I don't know if you have family in the field or someone to fall back on. If you do then it's sounds like a good idea) . But like I said, if you want it, then try it out. I myself would tell you to lean into medicine. It's a career that is beautiful. Also it seems like you are a family person, and a doctor as a career can get you back into the US as a fully certified doctor by just passing a couple of tests.( check it out) So.......these are my experiences and the knowledge I acquired from them . Think about this, and good luck. Also im interested on what you will decide, so it would be great to hear about what you decide
