For the last 4 months my partner started to become very jealous and developed trust issues towards me. He also started talking to his ex again, I dismissed it because I know some people can be friends with their ex. But the whole thing just felt wrong. I tried talking to him about it but he would become extremely angry and the conversation would go nowhere. One day he was in the shower and he left his phone on the bed, I know it was wrong but I felt that there were answers I wasn’t getting, also keep in mind that I was 16 and he was 20 at the time (super toxic, super immature, definitely wasn’t love from the start). Anyway, I went on his phone, pulled up the text messages between him and his ex and the first message was “I hope we weren’t rocking the bed too hard, if your roommate questions it, just say it must have been a ghost!”. Yeeeppp…confronted him, he denied it. I texted his ex, she confirmed it. I stayed with him. He left me for a different girl. The end!
