Most coronavirus success stories can be explained. Japan's remains a 'mystery'

Like that bullshit foreign policy article, it’s always discussed as a weird unexplained success and Japan is never complimented the same way Korea was. The west is underplaying the Japanese success so damn hard.

Are you sure, this article from by The Guardian is singing a different tune.

From Disaster to Success story: how Japan has tackled Coronavirus

They’re trying to make all this as a result of an unexplained miracle than it being the product of the successful efforts of Japan.

From the article: "Rob Fahey, a research associate at the Waseda Institute of Political Economy in Tokyo, believes declaring Japan’s ability to contain the outbreak a “mystery” ignores the role of individual and collective action."

Fucking bs lmao.

Sure the article from the OP. But that article is from an Australian news outlet. Australia's GDP is about the same as Indonesia. Would you take an article from Indonesia as representative of the east?

Japan is getting well deserved props. Shitting on the west in this context is misguided seems misguided. The West is pushing a narrative of earned success. Relax.
