photographers are expensive

For every hour of shooting they’re probably going to do 3 hours of editing. So for 6 hours of shooting they’re doing 18 hours of work. At $1500, that’s $83 an hour. They probably loose half of that in taxes so we’re down to $42 per hour. This covers not only their labor but equipment (camera lenses are thousands of dollars, plus computers, editing software, marketing, public website along with sites where they upload your photos…) That’s not a lot into their pocket. You probably can find someone cheaper but it’s probably someone who doesn’t have as nice of equipment and doesn’t spend as much time editing (which is 75% of photography imo). Just to give you an idea. I hope you find a photographer you like that works with your budget
