We live in a free society and live with hateful speech in order to avoid thought control and the censorship by the government. I’m not asking for censorship of free speech. I’m asking my community to understand that we, as free citizens, have the power to most effectively answer hateful speech through protest (like ripping down an inciting flyer, covering her chalking, removing her stickers from the walls of our favorite watering hole, etc.). This person vandalizes places of free speech, such as the newspaper boxes purchased by Our Lives, our private property, the doorsteps of our businesses, because we disagree with her bigotry. I’m asking people to do something when they see her flyers, chalking, stickers. It’s pushback I’m asking for; protest in order to temper the effect her hatred has on members of our community. You have that freedom. I’m asking for you to use it.
