What ideas are the LGBTQ+ community imposing here? This is something that our community voluntarily did to show support and welcome people of all orientations to the table.

Blatant, gross homophobia in the last part of your comment aside: it's a little precious to say you can't imagine a man having sex with a man, a woman having sex with a woman, or any variety of orientation and sexual preference/identification in between. You'd have to live in a cave to not have any kind of exposure, and people are asking nothing except to be welcomed into our communities just the same as you and I once had been. We as a community ask nothing except that you allow us to make people feel welcome in the community.
