Why is the Premier league bad?

I know you're just trolling, but let's break down this drivel:

Man U just got embarrassed by Real Madrid.

The sixth placed Premier League team losing 2-1 to the first placed La Liga team and the reigning European Champions is hardly "embarrassing".

Prem teams have the most money but the teams fail constantly in Europe.

1) Yes, PL teams have the most money but money doesn't guarantee success. Especially when you factor in that English clubs are having to pay really inflated fees because everyone knows how much money we've got.

2) The likes of Real, Barca, Juve, Bayern and PSG (you know, the team that just bought Neymar to 2 billion or whatever the fuck it was) aren't exactly poor, are they?

3) In all honesty our teams haven't even done all that bad in Europe. 2 Europe league finals in 2 years with one winner. That's better than the mighty German and Italian clubs you go on about.

The league is dominated by foreigners.

And what top 5 league isn't?

And yet the teams are not that good.

The PL top 6 are among the best in the world. Stop kidding yourself.

Why aren't they on the level of Spanish and German and maybe French teams? Why is there such a level of mediocrity?

Tough to explain. They just aren't. Football is very cyclical. We've been the best in the past though. And I'm sure that if any country is going to overtake Spain, it'll be us.
