Fr and not just BP but it's funny to see stan twt defend mid ass raps as if it would not be 10x worse if judged by hip hop standards

Rappers like Big Sean and Logic are widely considered to be absolute cornballs and have their pen game mocked yet stuff they've written completely obliterates a lot of idol rap. The references are neat but they can't make up for an overall lack of substance.

If you asked hip hop fans to genuinely give thoughts about the bars here or in other idol raps I legit think they'd be seen as so bad that it would be in bad taste to make fun of them. Which tbh is fine, it's not like I'm here for rap. But fans really don't want to play the card of "well you just don't get that it's actually x" when they clearly don't have experience with that either
